How do I become a volunteer?
The first step is to fill out our online volunteer application form.  After we've received it and had a chance to review the form, you will be contacted by our Volunteer Coordinator. How soon we respond to your application depends mainly on whether you are interested in working with us year-round or just during the event - so do not think we've turned your application down if you don't hear from us right away.

In order to be a volunteer at the event you must attend the Volunteer Training Session. Details will be explained by the Volunteer Coordinator when you are contacted.

What is a volunteer training session?
At the volunteer training session you will get to meet the festival staff, sign up for shifts and find out what your position will be during the event. The staff will go over volunteer guidelines and general festival operations. Additionally, if your position requires unique training, we will assist you in learning your role in relation to the festival. You will be provided with hands on examples and tools that will aid your experience as a volunteer. There will be several volunteer training sessions and it is required of all volunteers to attend.

ALL Charlotte Film Festival Volunteers are required to attend at least one of the volunteer training sessions, which are conducted during the first week of September.
